Our Start

Based in Washington, D.C. Warrior Fusion was founded in 2010. With a variety of offerings and locations to choose from, we’re sure you’ll be happy working with us to meet your personal goals or the needs of your group.  We are proud to be Program Partners with the Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital.

At Warriors Karate we believe in honoring those who came before us. Our lineage is about respecting the source of the knowledge that has passed from teacher to student , tracing back hundreds of years.

Kobayashi Shorin-ryu Karate is the true and oldest school of Okinawa-Te.  Arthur “Chaim” Jaffee is the founder of the Ryu Kido Kan style of karate. Originally from Israel, Master Jaffee opened a dojo in Baltimore, Maryland in the 1980s and that is where Sensei Patrick Burton earned his black belt. Sensei Patrick continues the proud traditions of this lineage as the founding instructor of Warrior Fusion.

The true science of martial arts means practicing them in such a way that they will be useful at any time, and to teach them in such a way that they will be useful in all things.

Warrior Origins

Warrior Origins is a nonprofit organization founded to support enrichment opportunities for dedicated martial arts students. We partner with Warriors Karate to identify students eligible to participate in activities that will deepen their appreciation of martial arts, including cultural field trips and competitive tournaments. Because karate is more than a sport – it’s a way of life – Warrior Origins also encourages global citizenship by organizing opportunities for international travel. To ensure no student who has worked hard is denied opportunity due to family financial constraints, our ALL VOLUNTEER Board raises money to help decrease the individual cost burden of participation for students and chaperones.
